The upcoming Redmi Note 12 Turbo from Xiaomi looks set to be an impressive mid-range smartphone. It has compelling features like a high refresh rate Oled display, a powerful processor, plenty of RAM and storage options, an excellent triple camera setup, fast charging and a range of convenient connectivity options. With all this, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo looks like it could offer excellent performance for its price.
Design and materials
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo comes with a 6.67-inch Oled screen with a 1080x2400 (FHD+) resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It has a maximum brightness of 1000 cd/m², a contrast ratio of 5000000:1 and HDR10+ support. The usable surface of the phone is 89%, owing to its slim bezels. The phone’s back is made of glass with a polycarbonate frame. The Redmi Note 12 Turbo also offers excellent audio features including stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio, Dolby Atmos and a noise cancellation microphone. Its fingerprint reader is located on the side of the device and it also has a cooling system.
Hardware
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 (4nm) processor. On AnTuTu Benchmark v9, the device scored 1010385 points.
Camera
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo has a triple camera setup at the back comprising of a Omnivision 64.0Mpx Standard lens with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8.0Mpx Wide Angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2.0Mpx Macro lens with an f/2.4 aperture. It also has an OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) that ensures steady shots and 4K video recording. On the front, there is a single 32.0Mpx selfie shooter with an f/2.27 aperture and Pixel size 1.120.
